Electrical Services Department awards contracts to youth-led businesses in Brunei

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/Asia News Network): As part of the training provided by the i-Usahawan program, Barokah Toiyibah Enterprise and Izouco Moto Services received DARe (Darussalam Enterprise) training on financial practices for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and financial education for entrepreneurs as well as an introductory course in tenders by DES.

Hairoman Izwan expressed his gratitude for receiving the blessings of Almighty Allah and thanked the government of Sultan Hassanal for receiving the i-Usahawan contract and providing opportunities for young local entrepreneurs.

“We also want to thank DES for the support given and Insya Allah, we will succeed and complete the project with high commitment,” he said, adding that the i-Usahawan program is a good initiative to help local youth. to go into business.

The i-Usahawan program is a youth entrepreneurship development program launched by the Department of Energy to help local youth start, own and grow their businesses and secure their first contract with the government, related businesses to government (GLC) or statutory bodies.

Launched on August 1, 2018 on the 13th National Youth Day, the program offers government market intervention in the energy sector through the provision of commercial contracts and capacity building initiatives.
